2. Setup Your Accounting Books and Track Real Transactions

Once you’ve picked your accounting software, it’s time to personalize it for your business. Inside your toolkit, we walk you through every step — from setup to tracking your real numbers. Here's what you'll learn:

Setting Up Business Info

We’ll begin by entering your company name, address, TIN or VAT number, and your business year. This helps us make sure your invoices, reports, and tax documents are set up properly right from the start.

Setting Up Chart of Accounts

Think of this as creating the structure of your business finances. We’ll help you build or tailor your chart of accounts so it reflects what your business actually does — whether you’re selling products, offering services, or doing both. Don’t worry, we’ve prepared templates you can edit or use as-is.

Adding Suppliers and Customers

We’ll enter your products or services, along with your customers and suppliers. This connects everything — from invoices and bills to tracking inventory or services delivered. By doing this, you’ll start seeing the full picture of how money moves in and out of your business.

Recording of Real Transactions

We’re going hands-on now. Together, we’ll enter your first sales, expense receipts, supplier payments, or delivery fees — whether it’s from Shopee, your own website, or direct walk-ins. We’ll make sure each entry is tagged correctly, so your numbers stay clean and compliant.  

Matching of Bank or Wallet Transactions  

 If your software supports it, we’ll connect your bank account or e-wallet to pull in transactions automatically. If not, we’ll show you how to upload statements and match them manually. Either way, we’ll keep your books aligned with your actual cash flow.

Generate Reports That Actually Make Sense

Once everything’s in, it’s time to make sense of the numbers. We’ll show you how to generate your Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports — and how to read them like a pro. You’ll also learn how to check for errors and stay ready for tax season.
